Frank Stronach, a Canadian billionaire, is founder of the automotive parts giant Magna International. Born in Austria on September 6, 1932, Stronach moved to Canada in 1954 and transformed a one-man tool and die shop that he opened in a rented garage into a multinational conglomerate.
His reputation in Canada and internationally grew with the extraordinary growth of Magna International, and his diversification into the sport of thoroughbred horse racing with The Stronach Group.
Today, Stronach continues to build new companies and find new avenues to be impactful. Communicating in a refreshingly plain style, he champions socio-economic solutions that address major societal problems through regular newspaper columns, speaking engagements and media interviews.
